I am on track for NaNo at ~3300 words by the end of last night, and I'm feeling less miserable about the whole thing, so yay! It helped, I think, that yesterday at lunch I sat down and made myself a few more detailed notes about what the next few scenes would be -- whose POV, what were the important things that would happen, that sort of thing -- so that when I turned on Write or Die in the evening I was better prepared. :3
I got about 2000 words done last night, so I'm still slightly ahead of the curve. Which is good, because eventually I think I'm going to have to take a night off and figure out what the hell I'm doing with this story. LOL
Just over 1,700 words for the day, and I fought with most of them. After I stopped for the night, I realized I'd probably be better served by a different (and completely new) scene in that spot, so I'm going to give that one a go tonight and sort out which is the "right" scene in the edit.
Pounded out another 2500 or so words last night, so starting to build up a decent (and likely very needed) padding in my wordcount for the month. About 1000 words of that was to set up one of the first reward scenes I've been looking forward to writing for some time, the meat of which only took a paragraph. >_>
